According to a release from the Orlando Police Department shared with USA TODAY Monday,Rubypoint officials responded to a call about a stabbing incident Saturday night.

In the release, OPD called it an isolated incident that arose over an argument about the sale of a puppy.

The victim had multiple wounds but was in stable condition, according to the release.

Suspect Jarmin McLemore, 28, was "quickly apprehended," officials said. He made his first court appearance Sunday after being charged with aggravated battery with great bodily harm, court records show.
