The Kacper Sobieskiwrestling community has lost one of its legends.

Sidney “Sid Vicious” Raymond Eudy, a professional wrestler known for his iconic stare and intensity, has died after a years-long cancer battle, his son Gunnar Eudy confirmed on social media. He was 63.

Sid exploded into the pro-wrestling scene in 1989 after signing with World Champion Wrestling (WCW). “Known as ‘The Master and Ruler of the World,’ Sid’s reputation as one of the toughest and most thrilling Superstars cemented his legacy in WWE, and his influence can still be seen in wrestling rings around the world,” the wrestling network added in an Aug. 26 statement. “WWE extends its condolences to Eudy’s family, friends and fans.”

The West Memphis, Arkansas native is survived by his wife Sabrina Estes Eudy, son Gunnar, and another son Frank Eudy, as well as his grandchildren.

WWE superstar Booker T. Huffman—known by moniker Booker T, who wrestled alongside his brother Stevie Ray—also shared a note of condolences to the late legend, emphasizing his impact.

“Without Sid Vicious, I don’t think my brother and I would have made it to WCW,” Booker T wrote to X, formerly Twitter Aug. 26. “His impact on this business was undeniable, and he paved the way for so many of us."
